Carburetor Rebuild

| December 10, 2013 | 0 Comments

My goal was to not only complete the rebuilding of all three of my carburetors, but to also finish up tearing down my brake calipers AND prep my front fender for trimming down.  Unfortunately, as always, the first go around took more time than anticipated.  At least it’s not the middle of another riding season..

I was aware that one of the jets in my rebuilding kit might not be of a size that would accommodate my carbs.  I’d thought it was the mains jet, but it turned out to be an air jet on the intake side.  Fortunately, my dad was able to turn down all three of them on his lathe to the correct diameter.  This is how he did it.
