Attention Ebay sellers! If you ship something with fluids, make sure you plug all holes

Got my new front master cylinder yesterday.  For whatever reason, the seller didn’t seem to realize the master cylinder not only still contained fluid, but the bolt used to connect the brake line to the master cylinder has a hole in it BY DESIGN.  USPS had to put the package in a bag before they left it on my doorstep. The seller did put the master cylinder in a plastic bag, but that bag got a hole at some point in the process.

Still, you’d think that someone with a 4102 feedback rating and listed as a top rated seller would know this.  I’ve sent the seller an FYI email giving them a heads up, but I’m not going to give them a negative review unless they respond with a ‘sucks to be you’.  For all I know, it could have been a new guy that packed it and just didn’t give a shit.

Ebay is the black pit of time suckage, but she love you long time

Since returning from our first vacation in six years I’ve been glued to Ebay looking for parts.  Ebay is an odd duck; one minute I can’t find anything even remotely close to what I’m looking for, and the next everybody and their second cousin has what I need and then some.  I got these brake disks here for an XS 850 which are interchangeable with the XS 750, plus they’re already slotted so I don’t have to worry about drilling them myself.

I can’t believe how long I was on there comparing and stressing over prices and stuff, but in the end I’m pretty happy with everything I’ve got coming.

Since I’m not able to spend as much time working on things at home, because of all my other activities, I’m going to rent a U-Haul this weekend and take everything down to my dad’s shop for our Sunday build session.

Product Review – Xelement Men’s Advanced Armor Naked Leather Jacket p2

I took some pictures here today to give an idea of how well this jacket fits.  A number of reviewers on LeatherUp.com said they had to purchase a size up for this jacket to fit comfortably.  But for me, this jacket fits like a glove and I bought my usual size which XL.  I’m 6’1″ and currently weight in at 202 lbs.

One of the things I’ve wondered about is the purported reflective material this is supposed to have sewn into the seams, so we took these pictures with the flash on, and I’m quite surprised how it stood out.  The pictures almost look like I did some kind of touch up on them, but I assure you these haven’t been edited.

So, starting off here is I sporting my favorite shirt, the Bill “Fucking” Murray -

Jacket on and unzipped, and yes these haven’t been touched up -

Zipped up and ready for my Tron cameo -

Fits great with my gloves, reflective material and all -

And finally, flash off and posing with my pit crew -

Next post on this I’ll show the inside, what the ‘armor’ consists of, and how the venting system works.  There is also a removable liner which is pretty thin. I’m interested to see how much of a difference it makes.
